Senior Policy of To Health To Nature Foundation

A model promoting active, healthy and dignified aging in harmony with nature.

„Age 60+ does not mean the end of activity. On the contrary – it can be the dawn of a beautiful new chapter filled with passions, movement, personal growth and sharing invaluable experience.”
🌿 To Health To Nature Foundation • Kamianna

Putting People at the Heart of Our Mission

The "To Health To Nature" Foundation, based in scenic Kamianna, has for years carried out actions where comprehensive support for seniors forms a cornerstone pillar.

At the heart of our senior policy is the human being – their individual needs, rich life experience, personal passions and natural desire to remain active, appreciated and needed in the community. We transition from a traditional model of passive assistance to a modern model of the active senior – co-creator of events, volunteer and mentor for younger generations.

Key Pillars of Our Senior Policy

Our initiatives blend deep ecological knowledge with genuine care for the daily wellbeing of seniors in Beskid Sądecki and beyond:

🐝

Apitherapy & Kamianna Heritage

Kamianna is the capital of Polish beekeeping. We harness this unique heritage by organizing workshops on the wellness properties of honey, propolis, bee pollen and royal jelly, while educating about the role of bees in our ecosystems.

🎓

Educational Activity & Lifelong Learning

Regular lectures, panel discussions and hands-on workshops. We run educational initiatives within the National Rural Network (KSOW) and other programs, developing competencies among residents of rural areas.

🌿

Healthy Lifestyle & Prevention

We encourage a balanced diet based on Five Elements Cuisine, daily outdoor physical activity, and preventive care against modern lifestyle diseases.

🤝

Intergenerational Integration

Counteracting loneliness and isolation. We build spaces for mutual exchange: seniors share local history, crafts and rural traditions, while youth assist seniors with digital devices and new media.

🌱

Senior Volunteering

We foster opportunities for active civic participation in the local community, including involvement in senior volunteering, neighborhood initiatives, and programs addressing the needs of fellow citizens.

⚖️

Rights & Equality

As part of our activities, we carry out numerous initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life, raising public awareness regarding ecology, wellness, regional traditions, as well as the rights and dignity of seniors. We actively advocate for non-discrimination and tolerance.

The Foundation's SENIOR+ Model

The guiding light for all our senior initiatives is the SENIOR+ acronym, embodying seven harmonizing core values:

S

Self-reliance & Agency

Strengthening independence, decision-making and empowerment in daily living.

E

Education & Personal Growth

Continuous exploration, discovering new passions and learning at every stage of life.

N

Nature & Healthy Lifestyle

Health prevention, herbal traditions, beekeeping and direct contact with restorative nature.

I

Integration & Intergenerational Dialogue

Cultivating lasting connections, mutual empathy and respect across all generations.

O

Openness & Volunteering

Engagement in social initiatives, neighborly care, and civic contribution to regional life.

R

Relationships, Equality & Respect

Fostering an inclusive environment free of discrimination, built upon kindness and dignity.

+

+ Life Experience as Added Value

The „+” symbol represents what is most precious in older adults: a wealth of knowledge, life wisdom, and living traditions passed down to future generations as guardians of local heritage.

Headquarters & Workshop Space in Kamianna

The heart of our senior endeavors is the Foundation Headquarters located at Kamianna 50. We operate a fully equipped lecture and workshop hall that welcomes seniors as a warm, safe, and open venue for social gatherings, creative workshops, and community discussions over herbal tea and regional honey.

Partnerships for Seniors

Effective implementation of our senior policy relies upon active dialogue and close cooperation with leading partners. The Foundation collaborates with:
